North Pier Walking Tour –Fridays and Saturdays at 10am–Memorial Day to September 8, 2019–Just meet us at Tiscornia Pier at the Donor Wall. Money is collected the day of the tour by the docents.
$10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
We begin on Tiscornia pier near the parking lot at 10:00 am for this hour-long walking tour. Trek the length of the North Pier with a guide, covering 180 years of lighthouse history. New this year–a look inside the outer light! Concludes inside the Inner Light & Fog Signal Building with optional climb up to the lantern room for a bird’s eye view of the harbor!
Please note: Height requirement of 45 inches to climb the ladder up to the lantern.
If you are interested in the walking tour you can meet us without reservations on the pier. Payment by cash, credit card or check may be made the day of the walk.
OPEN HOURS: Open Hours are Wednesday 7pm to dusk, Fridays and Saturdays 10am to 2pm and Sundays 12pm to 4pm. Come in and look around the first floor exhibit for free. It’s just $5 to climb to the top. No reservations required.
Private Tour Policy
If your group or family would like a private one-hour tour of the lighthouse, that’s possible! These tours can take place any time the lighthouse doesn’t have open hours. The cost is $50 to book and $10 a person for the walk (with a cap of $350).
